ISPO Munich
Press release // review ISPO Munich from 3 - 6 February 2019 – STOLL and DITF
H. Stoll AG & Co. KG presented itself from 3. - 6. February 2019 at ISPO Munich. This year in cooperation with the DITF (German Institute for Textile and Fiber Research Denkendorf).
Together with DITF, Europe's largest textile research center, STOLL presented a completely automated production and development process from a digitized 3D CAD model.
The partnership with the DITF for ISPO 2019 is based on a joint development project with a STOLL customer in the field of bandage technology. In addition, continual approaches for the algorithm-based process of a 3D shoe, last to a knitable jacquard file, were pursued.
The Technical Textiles department was a leader in knitting technology and consulting. The combination of decades of flat-rope experience and automation tools such as knitelligence® are the key success factors for the cooperation between STOLL and DITF.
With the goal of reducing the product development time and facilitating communication between knitting technicians and designers, innovative designs were developed in cooperation with the Fashion & Technology department.
Fashion & Technology also introduced its new Adobe® Photoshop® extension STOLL-artwork®. The combination of 3D product development, the integration of knitting parameters into the design development as well as an automated program, and knitwear production was very well received at the STOLL booth.
Participation at ISPO, the world's leading outdoor and sports exhibition, enabled STOLL not only to act as a manufacturer of flatbed knitting, but to also present itself as a progressive developer within the textile industry. The participation was a great success for STOLL and DITF.
